To provide written recommendations for repairs that are explained and based on system failure, improved system performance or preventive maintenance according to accepted industry standards.
To offer a written estimate, including the reason for the repair, and no work will be performed without your prior authorization.
To employ personnel trained in accordance with MAP Standards of Service who are qualified to perform an inspection based on MAP Uniform Inspection and Communication Standards.
To offer a written limited warranty, at no extra cost.
To provide dispute resolutions services at your request should you be dissatisfied with the resolution proposed by a member facility concerning its performance in meeting the requirements of the program. The dispute will be submitted to an independent board at no cost to you.

The idea behind Melvin’s was to create an auto repair shop where we would prove to our customers that we would always take care of them and that they could trust us. One of the tenants of our business is that we will never pressure our customers to do any work they don’t feel comfortable with and that we will always strive to deal with any problems.
In 1993, after years of serving as a Auto Technician and Shop Manager for various locations, Jim purchased Melvin’s Service Center, a business that had been established in the Dover area for more than 26 years. The goal of the business is to maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Jose Vazquez, Service Manager
Jose has been working in the automotive industry since 1997. After spending much of his career as an Automotive Technician he was then promoted to Service Manager.
